1. About this policy
Global Brands USA ("Global Brands," "we," or "us") operates the GlobalBrands USA app (the "App"). This policy describes information the App handles, why it is used, and your choices. The App provides event, competition, brand, gallery, resource, campaign, and alert information. Browsing the App does not require an account.
2. Information you choose to provide
- Optional onboarding: You may skip onboarding. If you complete it, the App asks for your email address, role (coach, athlete, or parent), and role-specific answers. For parents, answers can include child count, age groups, and experience levels. When submitted, these values are sent to Global Brands' backend for event updates, results, offers, and to tailor communications or services. They are not just stored locally.
- Contact: The Contact form prepares an email containing the name, email address, subject, and message you enter. It opens your device's email application; the App itself does not send that form to its API. Your email provider processes it if you choose to send it.
3. Information handled by app services
- Push notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) issues a device registration token and uses it to route notifications to the device. The App subscribes to an environment-specific topic. Notifications may contain event or promotion text, images, and links.
- Firebase services: Firebase Remote Config supplies app configuration; Firebase App Check helps verify genuine app requests. Firebase receives technical information necessary to provide these services. Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are not intentionally enabled in the current app configuration.
- Network status: The App checks connectivity state to show connection feedback.
- Local device storage: Onboarding completion state and cached public event, brand, and resource data may be stored on your device. Local data is removed when you uninstall the App, subject to operating-system backup behavior.
- Event calendar: If you choose to add an event to your calendar, event details are passed to the operating system's calendar flow. Calendar access and storage are controlled by your device and calendar provider.
4. How information is used
Information is used to operate the App, provide requested event updates and communications when you submit onboarding, respond to messages you send, route push notifications, cache public content, protect the service, and troubleshoot technical issues.
5. Sharing and service providers
Onboarding information is transmitted to Global Brands' backend. Firebase/Google processes information needed for Firebase services. Any additional backend or communications providers used by Global Brands to store onboarding submissions or deliver requested updates process information on Global Brands' behalf. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the service, or our rights.
The App links to third-party registration and ticketing services. Information you provide there is governed by their policies:
6. Retention and deletion requests
Information submitted to the backend is retained according to Global Brands' operational needs and applicable legal requirements. The App does not provide an account dashboard or in-app deletion control. To ask what onboarding or contact information is held, request correction or deletion, or opt out of communications, email info@GlobalCheerDance.org. We will handle requests as required by applicable law. Uninstalling removes local app data but does not delete information already submitted to the backend.
7. Notifications and choices
Push notifications are optional. You can deny permission or turn notifications off in iOS or Android settings. Turning notifications off does not remove onboarding information already submitted. To opt out of communications requested through onboarding, contact us at the email above.
8. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect information directly from children under 13. A parent may provide limited child-related competition details during onboarding, such as age group and experience level. Do not provide a child's name, precise birth date, contact information, or other unnecessary identifying details. A parent or guardian can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.
9. Security and international processing
App API traffic uses HTTPS. Firebase and backend providers may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the services.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive certain personal information, and to withdraw consent or object to some processing. Contact info@GlobalCheerDance.org to make a request. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator where applicable.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the App or its services change. The date above indicates the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests: info@GlobalCheerDance.org.
